Description
This is a beautiful tree found in riverene areas and monsoon forest landscapes, that grows into a huge specimen. It's distinctive fruit grow in clusters on the truk and branches of the tree.
Tasting Notes
The fruit, like many figs can be eaten when ripe and yellow, although they do not have a particularly strong flavour and taste a little fluffy, but some can dry out on the stem and be eaten like a dry fig. Often small insects/ flies are found inside the fruit, as this is also how they are polinated. It has been known to add sugar or flavourings and make these into dishes. The fruit also falls into creeks and is a food for turtles and fish.
