Inspiring Australia to a brighter future
Australia aspires to be an innovative society with a technologically skilled workforce, a scientifically literate community and scientifically well informed decision makers. The Inspired NT strategy aims to build a strong, open relationship between science and society, underpinned by effective communication of science and its uses.

Anyone can get involved
For the Public and Schools
Anyone can get involved in multiple ways. Explore what science has to offer, participate in events, try our STEM kits and share the experience.
For Science Communicators and Providers
Attend workshops to enhance your STEM outreach and communication skills. Science in Australia is growing. Scientists and STEM Outreach professionals are a key part of driving it forward and communicating science to Australians. We have many volunteer opportunities available.
CDU Science Outreach Course
Learn to create and deliver your own Science Outreach program. Each year university STEM students join the Inspired NT roadshow, visiting remote schools and libraries and honing their STEM communication skills. In 2023 we visited Batchelor, Douglas Daly, Pine Creek, Barunga, Mataranka, Elliot and Katherine.
