2. Top End Star Gazers:
With three 11-inch tracking telescopes, the Top End Star Gazers is a science education and community engagement program aiming to present astronomy nights to Darwin school and community groups. The program uses the universal fascination people have with the night sky to promote science and learning at CSC and beyond and inspire young people to engage with the world around them. Top End Star Gazers Science Week Special 2020 took place on the 19th of August at Casuarina Senior College.
3. MAGNT – The Collection:
Featuring five short-form episodes, The Collection highlighted the scientific research conducted behind-the-scenes by MAGNT’s dedicated and passionate specialists. Their ability to turn experiences into compelling stories brought inanimate objects back to life and allowed relatively unknown stories to be shared beyond the walls of MAGNT. https://www.magnt.net.au/thecollection
4. City of Darwin Library Special Science Week STEAM Zone and Story Time Sessions: Steam Zone encourages children of all ages to enjoy STEAM based activities. During Science Week 2020 the activity was LEGO Engineering! The library regular Story Time sessions were also followed by fun activities and experiments. The hands-on activities allowed children to learn by discovering at their own speed.
5. Native Plant Nanocarriers:
On this Science Week 2020 video, PhD student Elnaz Saki shows alternative ways of administering native Australian medicinal plants with the aim of increasing the efficiency of probable biomedical properties. She prepares a nanoemulsion for biomedical applications such as wound healing and antibacterial purposes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-PgN0PML2Q
6. Chemistry Spectacular:
Science Week 2020 workshop based on NT-inspired chemistry experiments. Participants had the opportunity to grow a super colourful crystal garden, distil their own essential oils and extract copper metal from ore during this two-hour family friendly workshop that give them a taste of how it feels to be a real scientist in the Northern Territory.
7. What Happens to Rubbish in Hunting Places:

The video teaches the community what happens to rubbish and how it effects the environment, animals and people. Rangers took questions and shared knowledge on environmental science projects they are involved in.
8. Think Ink:
During a series of Science Week 2021 videos and a workshop, Emma Lupin, multi-disciplinary artist and environmental scientist, explained the science behind natural art materials.
