Description

This is a beautiful rainforest tree, with equally gorgeous seeds that have red arils. It is closely related to the widely cultivated nutmeg. It can be grated and used asspice, though it seems not be as fragrant as the one used widely. Largee amounts also may be slightly haloucinagenic.

Tasting Notes

Both the aril and seed can be greated as flavouring. This is not commonly done as it is not as tasty as its Asian cousin, which has beeen traded as a spice for hundreds of years.
