Tasting Notes
The fruit are really tasty (in my opinion) and are usually eaten fresh off th etree, the ripest ones will fall to the ground when the tree is shaken. It has been reported that fruits used to be dried out, covered in rred ochre and wrapped in paper bark for later (Kakadu). More recently it is being looked into for use as a flavour in products.
