Description
This is a floating aquatic plant with a day flower that is white to purple. It is very common in billabongs and still waterways of the Top End.
Tasting Notes
The seed of the plant is eaten as well as the stem and it is an important plant, especially in Kakadu.
Growing at Home
Propagated by seed, or easily by division, as the plants have spreading roots.
