Description

The sand palm is found right across the savanna and Eucalypt woodlands, also on rocky country.

Tasting Notes

The leaves are cut off and the growth tip of the trunk is cut off (also known as the growth apex stem) and eaten. This is a little crunchy and moisty and refered to as "cabbage". The pith from the smaller stems can also be eaten.
